What are Dems in Congress doing to push back on this?
What are Dems in Congress doing to push back on this?
Are they still here?
1. Democrats typically have power controlling the Senate, the presidency, and several state governments but their influence is limited by Republican control of the House and a conservative Supreme Court.
2. Historically they often don’t push back as aggressively due b/c they represent a more ideologically diverse coalition, prioritize institutional norms and bipartisanship, face a less unified media ecosystem, tend to focus on policy over confrontation, and worry about alienating moderate voters.
That's a lot of excuses to just "nothing, they'll do nothing."
