I would have a dog as a pet everyday over a 100 bunnys. Dogs give you undevoted love and are great listners to my problems. It's not you're place to ask somebody to consider replacing a dog because you're a vegan or vegetarion. I'm a huge meat eater and not a bit ashamed of it, nor should anyone be.

Domestic dogs are omnivores. The evolved along side humans and ate scraps. They can digest carbs. They are not carnivores. Now, shutter carbon emitting operations like coal mines and oil/gas, the real contributors.

The carbon footprint of humans doesn’t exist, much less for dogs. That said, going vegan is the only option for slowing climate change and my family is- including my dogs! Dogs thrive on vegan food. Not cats. Cats are true carnivores and would get sick on a vegan diet.

Well, maybe they need the high protein or some mineral vitamin etc also... dogs eat anything when hungry. A friends was fussy, had to have cheese and meat or wouldnt eat, but, they decided to put down a better food.. had to wait 3 days before he would eat it lol.. after that no problem

I mean dogs are actually not carnivores. Dogs are omnivores. While in order to have healthy vegan dog food, we did have to look around, my dog is 14 and been vegan his whole life, and vets often ask how I keep him so healthy. Dogs can be vegan. Cats are carnivores though.
