I don’t see how this biz model tumbles out into our present. My guess is that inherent limitations + some high profile catastrophes will limit uptake, but we’ll see. That Replit, a company run by a man who strikes me as a future federal penitentiary resident, is mentioned doesn’t breed confidence.

It's going to be the same as the nocode paradigm. Beyond a certain complexity you need dedicated focus that fast and loose founders don't have. BTW this can easily be a market induction for Supabase. I wonder about the overlap between their investors.
