I know you were talking to the other person but I do want to answer. I personally don't have any biological connection as I am adopted, which suits me just fine. But my family's ancestors were immigrants during WW1 or 2. They spoke Yiddish. Not sure if that helps. I stay away from it all.

I personally reject all religions due to trauma and bias. I went to religious school, was bullied bcuz of my weird personality (autism+), so grew to hate Judaism. Later I realized kids are just mean but, like most religions, Judaism has bias against LGBTQIA+, and that solidified my rejection.

This all to say i avoid religion like the plague (it essentially is given the indoctrination) and barely know a thing about how any of this works. The Israel/Palestine conflict is especially confusing due to the indoctrination from my childhood. I'm a free thinker but I don't know what is true. 😵‍💫
