Absolutely! I was a “Deaniac” (as we were branded) in the primary but when I canvassed for Kerry that fall, did not feel the same energy.

Maybe it was that month that he spent not responding to the swift boat liars. Why would anyone believe he would fight for them if he wouldn't fight for himself? (yes I supported and voted for him, anything was better than W)

Yes, one of the original “take the high road” stances, which was the polar opposite of Governor Dean’s approach. (The snooty “Brooks Brothers” Kerry supporters in the primary were no help, either.)
