This is awesome!! I was lucky enough to be in the Yucatan at chitzen Itza the last year they allowed people to climb the pyramid. So much history and beauty.

Was there in the late 80's, amazing place to wonder around. From memory, there is a tomb inside. The only one of its kind as most are realy pulpits. Please don't quote me, it was a long time ago, backpacking days

I wanted to go into the observatory too, but it was crumbling. I feel lucky to have been up on the top of the pyramid, yet glad they are protecting it ...too many disrespectful....people

Yes, it was a different time when I was there, not many visitors, no signs, just a few locals to talk to. It was all in pretty good condition, for its age. If you like majestic places, I recommend Agua Azul in Mexico.

Thanx! Maybe when govts calm themselves down. Plus, currently i have a rescued husky. If you know anything about huskies....they are extra. 😅 But i wouldn't change a thing. Shes my heart. Don't get to fly as often but I can drive places
