How is anything even remotely connected to Blair a good idea? What can we expect next? A Trumpian deportation policy, invasion of a middle eastern country, deregulation of the banking sector?

It was not our lads who planted bombs in markets - it was sectarianism & tribalism. Mistakes were made but Sadam was a dictator who caused awful wars, gassed Kurds. He was tried by his own ppl & executed for crimes against Humanity.

So you would have let Sadam continue...after 1st Iraq war, Iraq/Iran war with 1m dead, a dictatorship which gassed Kurds etc. & locked up innocent ppl opposing his regime.

No, Afganistan followed attacks on US killing 3,000 ppl and Nato countries were obliged by Article 5 to root out extreme terrorists in that country.

Shall we list the 3000 dead from 9/11, including the many office workers, ladies, first responders, recovery workers and the 67 Brits killed that day. If that had happened in London, we too would have expected our NATO allies to help. That's clause 5. But then of course,we know Corbynites are antiNato

Causing a financial meltdown with his bank deregulation and light touch monitoring which caused our banking system to collapse and cost hundreds of billions. Causing a reversal of spending increases and introducing an age of austerity. So no thanks for that.

Which began in US with bad mortgage controls&banking policies. The fall out of RBS was very serious & the state had to intervene to stop all ATMs being closed as Banks panicked. Yes the leader of RBS lost his knighthood. But initially these were US events that hit the West.Iceland's banking melted

And lets remind ourselves in 2010 that Lab nearly won a 4th term as Tories did not get maj. Meanwhile in Scotland New Lab at same GE had a strong showing, massive win again with 41 MPs out of 59. New Labour delivered & ppl were pleased.

No they werent, because you didnt get back into power for 14 years, and even when Labour did it wasnt because anyone like them, it was because they hated the Tories even more.

Some of that was a Mr Corbyn which I can assure drove many of us out of the Lab party.I was of course referring to New Lab which won 4 times in Scotland.Time will tell with this govt who clearly are poor at communicating but yet all wages are up,healthcare, hospital apps are up, public services too

So what? he lost the election in 2019. And left areas I know, here's 3, Kent,Essex and Hertfordshire with just one MP! Now we have 51 Labour MPs. So you know what you can do with Far Left leaders, dump them. Corbynism was is & remains a political rubbish tip of 'performative', powerless, dogma.

Less popular than Corbyn, doing shit in the polls, havent done anything in power. We all hate Labour and we're going to be voting for the Greens or Corbyns party. All the racist Labour voters are going to be voting Reform. Get ready for Tory style electoral annihilation

Oh yes that's why banks collapsed in USA,Ireland, Iceland,Greece later, amazing that Tony was running them all! Was it not the 2008 summit where all the G20 leaders gave Gordon Brown a standing ovation for his initiatives in response to the financial crisis. He slashed rates here cutting mortgages

Life is not simplistic or perfect but for UK after 4 Tory govts & awful Neoliberalism which split UK, New Lab brought more prosperity, better life chances, more uni places, more hospitals, better 6th forms, moreGPs,devolution for Scot meritocracy, more jobs in IT,life sciences, business, increasing GDP

That's because he was an unpopular, unappealing, ineffectual leader who put Labour movement back 5 yrs. Worst effect on Labour since the yr of our Lord 1900 and 35. Moreover, he helped Johnson win tons of working class seats because he had no connection to Labour's Social Democracy.

Nor did TB as Afganistan was Nato article 5 following 3000 deaths inc nearly 100 Brits 9/11. Tony Blair did not bancrupt UK like US, Ireland,& EU that was bad banking crisis following US property crash. TB was not PM when Lehmans, RBS collapsed & Irish banks collapsed.New Lab easily won 3 elections
