Did you read the bill? It states people must have committed a crime other than entering the country illegally, and that states may sue the federal government.

That’s already the fucking law for serious crimes! What this does is create a permission structure for mandatory detention for accusation of petty crime, even if they didn’t commit the crime! Do you see the problem here? Do you see how that relates to what is happening to immigrants right now?

That’s false. Now, an argument could be made that the administration did this so they could have justification to carry out atrocities, but nothing in the Bill grants them the right to do so. If a politician must vote exactly how you want on every issue, you’re in for a lifetime of disappointment.
