You: "People who have spent years practicing logical reasoning skills have largely arrived at the same conclusion. Here's why they're wrong..."

This appears to be written from an alternative universe in which Marxism is a dominant view. By chance, were you kidnapped and raised entirely within a literature department in a small liberal arts college?

Humorously, I think this response is mistakenly thinking I was connecting computer science to Marxism. That's the group of people you are talking about practicing "logical reasoning skills." But that was a comment about the overrepresentation of Less Wrong style "rationalists" in computer science.

That crowd is a not entirely coherent blend of libertarianism and techno-fascism.

Bud it sounds like you could use some reinforcement of your thinking skills. You declared that a large portion of leftists studied/practice computer science, not me. And now you're talking about a large portion of computer science professionals being leftists, a claim nobody has made Get smarter

No I didn't. I didn't say anything like that. It's true that lots of people who have studied computer science are center-left, though it's affirming the consequent to take that to mean lots of people on the center-left have studied computer science.

And I didn't talk about either. That's something you've badly misread while adopting a tone of extreme smugness to boot. My comment was an analogy to the overrepresentation of a niche right-wing ideological subculture in in computer science.

(I continue to be amazed, though not surprised at how common it is for people in online interactions who plainly aren't the sharpest tools in the shed to insult other people's intelligence.)
