It's best to try not to be paralyzed by the scale of issues at a global or continental scale. A dedicated group can feed a community. A fed community is more resilient against the attacks of fascism, which exploit societal weaknesses Even if the only person you help is your neighbor, you helped
I am just going to say this...every single Dem President for the last 40 years accomplished major things that helped people (Yes there were major fuckups too, but overall there were benefits that outweighed those) yet again and again those same ppl who have benefitted ignored the progress.
At some point one must ask the very important question of what does it take for the plurality of American voters to stop committing political suicide over and over and over again. Helping in communities is great and all but when the federal social safety nets are ravaged it's overall useless.
