Portal Fantasy in western terms. It's existed since the beginning of "Proper Fantasy Literature"--Tolkien and Lewis' contemporaries usually wrote portal fantasies because it was Tolkien who initially came up with a complete world outside of the contemporary modern world and characters.

That's the best way to describe it. I guess the follow-up, which I plan to watch for myself soon, is kind of half reverse Isikai and half Isikai.
