Yes, but while we wait for that revolution people are dying. I’d be very happy with a city with no private cars; only busses, bikes, and a handful of specialized delivery vehicles (including for wheelchair users). But no one has a plausible path for that to happen in the US in my lifetime.
Certainly not going to happen if we don’t work on it. I’m ok working on things my children might benefit from after I’m gone. A person who’s been hit by cars twice
When tens of thousands of people die every year, I’m a little more impatient.
