It is curious and kinda funny to me personally because I've always sided myself with americans generally speaking, I am fundementally an atlantist. Despite blatantly stupid and undefensible stances like the one on the 2nd amendment. But in the last year or so it has become an untenable position :)
On that note: I do not think that how europeans in particular are feeling about the americans at the moment comes across clearly on the other side of the atlantic. The reputational and trust damage done since january is generational, unfixable at least in the medium term.
On no, Americans with any sense know that it's all fucked, and we've been put back... I don't even know how to quantify how long. Just because some right wingers liked to clap and cheer for a sociopath.
