i can vividly imagine how this would get rendered on a computer lab desktop, just seeing each square in the grid flashing into position and it taking a second to render all the icons, just for grazing the windows key obligatory "wait a minute that wasn't how my PC looked" blind reply goes here

The funny part is that although this is a poorly made fake, Microsoft did experiment with earlier concepts for Windows XP that resemble this.

I was too harsh, it’s nice and I apologize. I think it leans too much on Windows 8, XP wouldn’t frame the UI elements and iconography with such symmetry.
