Torchlight II is, basically Diablo with a different hat on. The gameplay is fun, but it's not really what I was looking for. It was good to bring it out for a try though.

A few others which didn't even make it on screen included Dragon Age: Origins (crashed the first time it ran), the original Oblivion (Couldn't capture it and didn't feel like fighting with it) and Skyrim (Installed version is heavily modded and wouldn't even start). I may try again next week.
I had fun with that one...for a few hours. didn't get super far, put it down and never went back to it. I ought to, it was fun enough, just didn't grab me the way I had hoped it would
I tried "Dungeon Siege" a while back and found that it captured the Diablo gameplay while still having an accessible story. I dropped it after a while but it still grabbed me in ways that Torchlight couldn't.
I really just want a Diablo clone with the vibe of the Dreamcast Lodoss game, but it's possible that just grabbed me because of the anime
