My veteran parents (WW2), My grandfather (WW3), and my great,great grandfather (Civil War) are turning over in their graves. There service was for nothing as we’ve turned into a facist country run by oligarchs.

My grandfather came over and immediately went to WW1. He volunteered. My father served in WW2. I wonder what will happen next to those immigrants here in the services if Donnie decides he will go through with denaturalization. Will they be on the list also. I wouldn’t put it past him.

Mine served 26 years. When I told him about cuts to benefits, he started explaining how much veteran’s benefits add to the debt. Right wing talking heads are preparing them to roll over. Again, I guess since they let “suckers and losers” slide, they will be rolling over again.

Me too! I did 13 PCS moves. I had babies alone and raised kids alone. I gave up my own job benefits with frequent job changes. I earned some security. I really thought that would wake him up.

I live in a military town where Marines ride around in vehicles displaying *New World Order* (WTO) decals on the back windows. This is way bigger than Trump.

Military personnel follow orders so if the President has the excessive power now, to tell the Military to engage by his command, will soon find out if the Military choose to ignore Trump command and walk away, the consequences for them will not be good if they choose to ignore.

Don’t strongmen usually want the support of the military? Seems really odd to go after them.

They will go after veteran benefits before a lot of other things because they know they can do so with immunity. I know a lot of Americans decry the benefits, like my daughters’, that she receives for her war injuries.

They will try to fill the ranks with militia types and hard line supporters. Not to mention requiring public schools to mandate a military entrance test (but not private schools), could draft kids, why not?

He doesn’t need the military he has all of the militias that everyone has been warning us about but doing nothing because they have freedom while women can’t direct their own lives in privacy.

I'm active duty and have a few months where I'm still able to voice my concerns. I have a ton of Airmen under me who don't understand what's coming. A few of them voted for him, and don't realize they will be targeted. I am *frightened* at what's waiting for us in 2025

My grandson starts Army basic next week. Husband and I are both far Lefties who put in 28 years USAF. But these times scare me sick.

His grandfather was in the USAF and his great grandfather and great uncle were both Army. My dad was in WW2 and my brother in Viet Nam. We far lefties are all scared sick. We see reality and the need to resist.

On Veterans Day Trump announced that urban camping would be illegal , the homeless rounded up and put in “tent cities.” No exceptions for veterans!!!!

Don't know what I'll do if I lose my VA housing assistance or healthcare. Same with Social Security and Medicare. 😔

Our father wore the patch of America breaking the chains of Nazim, I have it. I've felt those chains being put back together for a while now. It's not a common patch.

Thanks for your Veterans Day substack. Yes, military morale will be such a huge issue. My daughter (formerly USAF Captain in Missiles) fretted for days & days to precisely document her entire life for her security check. Honesty & integrity will mean nothing anymore.
