He is not immune when he operates outside the law, Constitution. SCOTUS reserved unto itself the right to determine what is "official", and many things are NOT. He can be criminally tried for those acts. Thomas and Alito may whitewash everything. They others? Less likely by far.
I agree & keep pointing out that Trump v US says criminality is prosecutable if the act is outside the (indescript) outer perimeter of the executive's official duties. BUT it also said explicitly that a president can't be prosecuted if he uses a Dept or agency employee to commit a blatant crime.

Americans have notoriously short memory
At this point there is no mechanism at all to prevent Dump from doing anything. He’s ignoring the courts, dismantling the govt, rounding up people and sending them to foreign prisons, destroying the economy and an endless litany of other evil. We need to accept that this only ends when he does.
