Europe should offer to provide a security zone in western Ukraine where they would move in the forces necessary to protect that area of the country from Russian attacks. This would free up Ukraine to concentrate on removing Russians from eastern Ukraine.

Is the military needed to protect the refugee hotels in the UK instead?

Do you have any idea just how tiny the British military is? A massive proportion of the military budget goes on the nuclear deterence, then on 2 aircraft carriers, that are becoming redundant due to new technology! He's leader of a left wing party that isn't very military supportive!

Left wing? He is acting like a Tory in all respects. Excet that Tories weremore supportive of Ukraine. Thirty thousands troops would not have been nearly enough anyway.

At least he's not corbyn, who would have disarmed the UK entirely and helped russia instead of Ukraine!!!! Not that corbyn would ever have been elected in the first place, losing the red wall of Northern mining towns decimated by thatchers tories to a waffling Eton toff!!!!!

True. Nonetheless Starmer is a disappointment. I am pro Labour but good leaders are scarce nowadays. Everywhere. Unfortunately as we do need ones with courage and strategic insight.
