Putin is a coward and bully. He is afraid of Zelenskyy, because Zelenskyy and Ukraine will be his downfall. He thought he could bully the younger naive President, that made a film about becoming President, little did he know the guy has balls of steel, and won't be giving his country and people up🎖
They just are mixing things up a bit. Ukr independence is maybe an existential threat to the Putin regime, but is not so to the Russian nation.
