Some dumbass guy on Facebook (in response to me saying I didn’t need a man to fix stuff): So what that your wife knows how to fix things? You still need men to do stuff like engineering. Me: Actually my wife’s one of the lead engineers at her company. Dude really thought he had something there 😂

When I showed my teenage son that I’d fixed his toilet, he rolled his eyes and said, “Mom, you’re such a dude!” I’m proud to say he grew up to marry a ‘dude’ who changes the oil in her car.

Don't need a man, but, there is a man I choose to be with.

That’s the thing that pisses these guys off. Women now get to choose the men they want to be with, and they’re not choosing these losers who have nothing to offer.

Exactly. We want partners. Why can't both be hot, capable, smart, successful.

dumbass needs to learn this thing called differing skillsets. my wife's dad only ever joked once about the fact I can't even fix my car, until I pointed out that I could literally do an aortic bypass in non-sterile conditions one handed. Source? I literally did once. so he fixes my car.

I'm the man of our house and proud of it. My husband is very happy that he can count on me, so he can golf, go to the casino, play bridge, and read. And, I'm crazy about him!!!!

It’s so cute when they can’t wrap their heads around simple concepts like ‘women have hands & brains too’, isn’t it? Like, dude, I have the capacity to learn as well! I know! Revolutionary! AND I can carry a tumble dryer all by myself! It’s almost like you can learn how to cook and do laundry, too!

My husband is fantastic with software and mathematics, I am the one who is generally better at hands-on stuff. Both of us can look up owner's manuals and repair instructions, we often end up fixing things together. That guy's a dumbass thinking only men can do engineering or home repair.

It was in response to a post saying that financially, women don’t actually need men anymore and let me tell you, the incels are maaaaaad. They started ranting about how women need men to fix stuff and dozens of women are chiming in saying they can actually fix stuff themselves just fine.

These guys are ignoring that there are women that are widowed. If I can’t fix it, move it, paint it, then I call a service that can.

It's really sad that there's any amount of men who are desperate for women to be helpless in some way so they can benefit from that helplessness. Nothing wrong with a partner doing more of a household thing than the other, but it should be about teamwork, not "only this one can do these things."

Diversity in Horror (they/them) @diversityhorror.bsky.social

It is really sad. The only way they can get a woman is if she’s helpless and becomes dependent on them. Now that women are independent and have options no one is picking these guys who do the bare minimum and they hate that.
