As we watch the horror movie known as Trumos America, I believe every Democratic Country needs to put term limits on our Senators, Congressmembers, lower house members etc. Why? I believe many US Senators and Congressmembers are compromised. 👇

Turm limits are a must. However, you don't need to be in office long to become compromised. Look at some of the second and third turmers in US politics. Bent as horseshoes.

It's likely that Russia, Israel etc have dirt files on them be it paedophilia, hiding their sexualising, bribe taking etc. Unlimited terms makes them easier to control by Rusdia etc eg let's say quite a few GaoP members term limits were up in 2026, they'd vote differently and not care so much.

The analogy I draw is that we have compulsory retirement ages for military personnel. We should have the same for the people who have the power to put those people in harm's way. So, term and age limits. Should also apply to the high courts. Three terms and age 70 should be the cut-offs.

You know Government laws and Legislation get passed based on advice given by long term civil servants who are experts in each subject. Eg if I got elected as an MP in Australia and convinced my Oarty to support say Tax changes that made the rich pay mire etc, I'd get Tax experts to advise

None of them deserve to be there and I suspect will be voted out if we have the opportunity to. If we find a way through this, there will be a rare opportunity for level heads to institute changes which will work for all of us, but that window won’t remain open indefinitely. That’s my hope.

commissions over elected officials should exist. There are a lot of things which can and should be implemented. Age limits are much more important. Seventy seems reasonable, certainly for the Senate; perhaps 74 for the House. Voters are the best term limits—and that solution is civic education.

This problem is a global one. Only one legislative term (say, seven years) should be permitted, and then it should be forbidden to work in a lobby-precarious segment for five years after that. The right to stand for election should require a standardized psychological and professional aptitude test.
