The generation immediately before Boomers were known as The Silent Generation. In the SF Bay area, they were also known as the Beat Generation. Boomer generation starts with people born in 1946 and goes until those born in 1964.

Michael is following the naming system of two guys trying to make a name for themselves. He stopped communicating with me because I don't buy into their names for generations.

that's the census definition of generations yet that designation is useless for sociological & psychohistorical purposes as I and Strauss & Howe (the gold standard on generations titled *Generations*) use them. that is why we have different designations ones which mean something. #TruthWarriors
