Vance doesn't have the hold on the R party Trump does. He can't command maga, so he will wield far less power. They won't bow down at him for 3 hour cabinet meetings. They won't vote insane people into cabinet positions for him. They won't let Miller and Vought rule from the shadows.

My worry is that they’ve spent every day getting their fascist structures in place. The fight won’t be over if/when Vance takes over.

This. Fuck the status quo. The status quo is why we ended up with trump in the first place. We actually need to fundamentally change things, starting with outlawing billionaires, ending citizens united, universal healthcare, mandatory paid leave and a mandatory living wage as a minimum wage.

I don't know. He can't control maga because that cult of personality won't just transfer over. But, I think the actual republican politicians are so far gone at this point that they'd likely continue as is, at least until they finally figure out that he can't control maga anyway.
