I just read it and this panel would totally fit.
I mean, this would explain what the hell is going on with the children's ages. They never existed at all!
Little-known Fact #6875: There has never been a 9 Chickweed Lane character called “Edda.”
"I must be getting old because I just don't get the funny pages these days."
So like Calvin and Hobbes?? 😳
I just skimmed the last few weeks. What in the world is happening with the timeline? Is this young Amos and Edda time skipping to middle aged, or is this just one timeline with younger replacements?
Could be either! The cartoonist has a "Citizen Kane"-esque attachment to the period in which the characters (and...gulp...the cartoonist himself?) were prepubescent children just beginning to notice one another and fantasise about "rutting madness". So he must always, inescapably, return there.
'a "Citizen Kane"-esque attachment' You could just write "fetish" and save yourself a lot of keystrokes.
Using more words than necessary is very much in the spirit of this comic strip. Citizen Kane might be too modern a reference though.
I didn't pick up that "Rosebud" was a fetish for Kane.
It may or may not be. But kids + sex is definitely one for McEldowney.
Um; I think rosebud is a different fetish.
This actually explains why I always considered it innocuous until I started following you. If you look at the link about the shooting storyline it starts in 1997, and I had better things to do by that point. So my memory was of it as a gag a day strip.
Both options are funnier than anything else I've seen from the strip.
Kind of a low bar, considering what strip it is, but I agree
Oh hell yeah, "Garfield: Alone" for 9CL might be the only way to salvage this trash heap.
Ah yes the swing that Amos fucks while calling it his wife's name.
that's a relief
????????
The excuse me what arc?

That post feels like it was fed through Google Translate multiple times. I'm actually curious to hear what this guy sounds like speaking out loud. I bet it's insufferable.
"I did not ask my editor at the time (not to be confused with my editor now or my editor previously)" Like, we know what "at the time" means, Brooke. Why are you like this?
Oh so he's always been deranged and tone deaf. Good to know.
Great galloping html fails... who let him create that page?

AH yes, the School Shooting story tgat focused on every possible POV but the victim's, and ended on the high note "she's not actually affected by this, at all"
If this is their "Loss", some one is getting kicked in the vas deferens.
