Misogyny exists. It is not the only factor. I used tonthink that was the key until I saw research into voter preferences. It's the policies, Charlie Brown. Trump spends every election claiming to want to stop the things people don't like, and the news reprints it while Dems don't.

Trump: I'll get the drugs harming your community out, make groceries affordable, healthcare cheaper and IVF free, address the crime problem the media convinced you is real, etc, etc Ds: public-private partnerships, equity for the umc, maybe expand medicaid, maybe improve SNAP, won't tax the rich...

Yes, it's a lie. If you dig deeper he wants to do the things that make problems worse. They aren't digging bc Trump appears to understand what matters to them. The media reprints his lies. Dems, meanwhile, appear to cater to the monied, look down on working class, support literal Reaganite policies

Both Trump presidencies followed Dem leadership who promised they were going to improve conditions for working class people and failed to do so, seemingly deliberately. People just want economic relief, but the owners of the political parties will not allow it

You’re entitled to your opinion but recognize it’s just opinion. I think you’re overestimating the role of policy*. And underestimating vibes, skewed media & how “economy anxiety” often means fear of change. *voters ascribe good policies to ppl they like whether or not the candidate has the policy
