Or it's a way to remind people that our actions have consequences, political "opposites" or not. People who lacked empathy for children being bombed, families separated at the border, students expelled for exercising their rights, etc. now want to be handled gently. Suffering didn't start with them.

Specifically in the situation in the article, the white woman voted for Trump (cause you know she did) and thought that bc her husband was white that it wouldn’t matter that he was “illegal”. It fucking matters how you vote period but all the more when your house is glass!!!
