My kids who are indigenous and one had a secretary at a public school tell her when she was wearing her tribes shirt “we are all American” and she celebrates “Columbus he was a great man”. To my indigenous child. My kid 9 at the time didn’t understand. Ignorance isn’t an excuse in 2025.
I'm so sorry your kids were subject to such ignorance. There truly are really stupid people in the world and Trump has made their ignorance a badge of honor, unfortunately.
Thank you, and yes it’s emboldened the ignorant people to think they are right. That they can say horrible things with no consequences. But we will resist and fight back. Can’t let them win ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
