That’s Oakland 2019, & an encampment that had been there for over 3 years. The article that photo was pulled from explicitly states that many of the people living there simply moved a few blocks down and some refused the scarce housing offered because of limits on number of possessions allowed
Thank you for clarifying. I thought it was a picture they took recently as they stated their dog steps on needles, and their child can't walk to school. I'm still trying to understand others who, like me, have biases due to personal experience. I have been on both sides of most situations and
try not to speak unless I know what I am speaking of or am asking a question to better understand something. For example, I have lost people to gun violence, both murder and suicide. I have had a gun put in my face. Therefore I have strong opinions on the subject. Sorry to drag on. Take care!
