I just don't get why it winds them up so much, surely it's a way as society we can integrate and celebrate different cultures coming together over time. Unless, they don't want that and it's pure racism, with them scratching around for excuses to justify it.

They are just racists. Unfortunately, Brexit and the social problems caused by the country’s deep economic problems have given them a scapegoat to pin their woes on. Same as 1930s Germany (not the Brexit bit, obviously).

I've been called "race traitor" and the like by people like this on socials in the past. I'd imagine nowadays with them being more emboldened and normalised, I'd get worse. It's a funny one, because some use "integration" as a faux point, but can't stand the thought of multicultural couples.
