The bottom recipe has been a family staple since I can remember (at least 1968). I promise they are made, left to "mellow" for 2 weeks, and opened (yes, in the blue Danish butter cookie tin, right before Christmas.
The bottom recipe has been a family staple since I can remember (at least 1968). I promise they are made, left to "mellow" for 2 weeks, and opened (yes, in the blue Danish butter cookie tin, right before Christmas.
Both I and my youngest stepdaughter, in 2 successive generations, were known to search the house for the tin during those 2 weeks to sneak some before they're ready. My mother always hid them under her bed. I sort of left them out to be "snuck."
The Judge I worked for got his every year for 23 years. It was his favorite treat o' the season. Truth.
