This is the other one saved on my phone. Soooo good
Dhani’s face through the whole solo is priceless. Clearly thrilled his dad gets a tribute like this.
That's one of my favorite things about the scene. I'd kind of expect the son of a Beatle to be fairly inoculated against being overwhelmed by a cool music thing, but nope, he is fully awestruck and just seems grateful to be on that stage, and I love him for it.
Thank you for bringing this joy into my life.
Oh it's a keeper--glad you enjoy it! 🙂
My understanding is that one guy is one of his stage folks, which, still, is a lot of trust.
Yeah, I kinda figured it was probably something like that. Like you said, still a wild thing to do. Then again, dude was practically levitating for the whole performance, so maybe there was no real risk of succumbing to gravity.
Btw I love that the mere mention of that clip brings people out of the woodwork who are also obsessed with it. My people!!!
It is amazing. And then his guitar ascends....
thank you! still can't believe he's dead... i wished i could take my teenage daughters to one of his concerts. man what more genius music he would've given us
One of the rare instances when the term "musical genius" is actually appropriate. He was a generational talent who also had the creativity to express himself in ways no one had seen and many weren't ready for. Easily top-5 "I wish I had seen them live" artists for me.
yeah. definitely. also i wouldve liked to see what a cooperation between Prince and Frank Zappa would've brought
A bit of magic, I suspect.
