Switch 2 isn't really targeting the same demographic considering this and devices like the steam deck are full PCs not walled gardens like consoles.

Agree, which is why I included Steamdeck in the options. SD & Switch cover pretty much anyone looking for a handheld and either will have much better compatibility/support from devs

In that case power is the main selling point. These are able to run more intensive games than a steam deck. Personally I don't think they're cost effective and I'm still just waiting on Microsoft to make windows navigable for a controller but if you're an Xbox player and are all about gamepass 🤷‍♂️

Not without installing Windows and doing some back door shenanigans. So inferior you could but it's not something I want to risk brickng my steam deck for. Microsoft has an official way to play a game pass on cloud but it's still a pain to set up
