There’s a long list before music. Ignatius of Antioch, Justin Martyr, Constantine the Great, Theodosius I, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane, Leopold II, Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pok, Orange Shitstain, then music.

Think of how much humanity could have improved.
The question ETRJ posed was the second best. Didn't state the first. Maybe ONE of yours qualifies for #1. Human life has and always will have evil characters until such time religion is no longer needed. Until then allow music to comfort the soul.
Religion was never needed. It was a fabrication designed specifically to control the masses for personal gain at a time of great human ignorance. Eradicating it’s roots would have saved many millions of humans.
I agree with your last sentence. But for me Religion is the process of assigning meaning to metaphysical issues that cannot be explained nor understood. 1/4
2/4 Any writings and speeches made in the name of religion were made by humans and have no inherent supernatural meaning. One human has no further insight into the origin of the universe, nor the meaning of life, nor the concept of God, than any other human being.
3/4 We exist on a water covered stone and experience life because a fireball that is 93 million miles away (and will someday burn out) provides us with light and heat. Our "stone" is but one in a never ending "interstellar gravel pit" of stones and fireballs.
4/4 How did we get here and all those other "stones" get where they are? For want of a better explanation, God enabled all of it. After that what further value is there in assigning an image or name or sex or doctrine to a power that can never be explained? Subjugation?
There is zero evidence of that.
It’s not just stone, it’s matter of the many types found in the universe. And with enough time, that matter came together in just the right way to form the building blocks of life. The sun had a lot to do with turning those building blocks into living organisms.
You're looking at the trees instead of the forest. How did that "matter" get placed unfathomable light years away when we are over here?
I disagree with this statement. All religion, including the concept of God is man-made.
Not comprehending with what you disagree. I clearly stated religion (and therefore god(s) is a human construct.
I disagree. The concept of religion is man-made. That’s not metaphysical.
Metaphysics: The branch of philosophy that examines the nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, substance and attribute, possibility and actuality.
Metaphysics: A priori speculation upon questions that are unanswerable to scientific observation, analysis, or experiment. Religion absolutely is metaphysical.
