As a chocolate maker, actually it is, since the cocoa bean is 50-53% cocoa butter, it just doesn’t have any of the solids. But, I agree it needs a different name. 🤗

There is no good way to say cocoa butter, sugar and filler. I make plant based white chocolate with nuts or grains and fruit. Depending on origin more fat comes from the bean than solid, fascinating to me. But yeah, no good name. Need marketing pro 😂

I worked at Ambrosia Chocolate in Milwaukee (yes, THAT one, but that's another story) and real white chocolate IS chocolate because it has cocoa butter in it. Real chocolate must contain cocoa butter: it's a chocolate-flavored confection if it contains palm oil.
