What's everyone having for dinner? I'm having last night's chicken noods cold, with some peanut butter lobbed in and extra red chillies. Roasting the rubbish nectarines in a bit of brown sugar, whiskey and rosemary and having with pistachio gelato (on special at Co-op). Cold brew lemon & ginger tea.
Bought some Northern Dough Co. pizza dough (excellent) and made salami and roasted pepper pizzas.

Bbq! Had scaffolding up front and back for the last month which was just depressing/distressing. Taken down yesterday so simple bbq tonight with spring onions and peppers and chipolata sausages, potato salad and some vinegar dressed beetroot. Campari soda to start then decent red.
Leftovers from family meal: will make meatballs from the roast lamb, some leftover Turkish onion salad, fried halloumi, and salad. Pinot Noir.
Oh absolute yum. Would be all over that.

An out of date supermarket fish pie (3 days!) and green beans. Hate disappointing peaches and nectarines but roasting them and eating w greek yoghurt (say)will be good!
Your pud sounds fab, nectarines and pistachio such a great combo. Cheese and potato tortilla, tomatoes, coleslaw. Fig leaf rice pud and honey poached figs for afters…..nice but want yours

Orecchiette with chilli and brie, still slightly warm crusty sourdough, glass of Nero D'Avola, mango ice cream. Simple but tasty.

I heat the chillies in a bit of extra virgin olive oil, turn off the heat, pop in the drained pasta, then diced cheese and some of the cooking water. A quick stir and job's done. Black pepper and parmesan finish it off.
Stealing that. Never thought to put brie with pasta.
I first had it twenty-odd years ago it in Lido de Jesolo near that Venice: macaroncini with chilli and brie. Been making versions of it ever since. It is a good combination.

Can’t claim that. It was the work of the dearly beloved. And, with some consultation with Catherine Phipps, adapted for pressure cooker. Worked splendidly and reduced the last step to only 25 mins.
It tasted as good as it looks.
