As I posted above, read "American Kompromat How the KGB Cultivated Donald Trump, and Related Tales of Sex, Greed, Power, and Treachery" by Craig Unger. The Russians had their hooks in Comrade Krasnov since the early 1980s. I'm only 35 pages in, but it's very convincing as to the Russians' long game.
