It would be interesting. Polls don't seem to be accurate. I'd love to vote of a slate of options and have folks in charge figure it out. I'd definitely vote to secede and form a territory with all neighboring states who agree. One territory could be: CA, OR, WA, NV, AZ, NM.
Cascadia is mostly there already. Anything east of us gets more contentious though. (I'm in WA state.) One important preparation to survey would be to remove gerrymandered district influence, b/c some red states are actually purple by population %.
My brother lives in Snoqualmie! His wife is a native Washingtonian. We have the same issue in our Central Valley and Eastern part of the state. Folks would suffer under Republicans without the more liberal programs like minimum wage increases, employment protections, and social welfare programs.
