Thanks! But wasn't Whitney. I do have one, I'll try & find it. This photo is of Crystal Crag Rock & Lake Mary. At Mammoth Lakes, California. About a 2 hour drive from Whitney area. Fun fact, the highest spot in the Continental US (Whitney) & lowest (Death Valley) are only 85 mi. apart!

An incredible fact. I had assumed it was Mount Whitney because you’d posted a photo of the motel bearing that name. You are lucky to live in a varied and beautiful state which is blessed with a decent Governor. I wonder if he had stood for the presidency whether the result would have been the same.

I feel very fortunate. It is beautiful, & so much to see! Yes, we drove by that motel on our way up, & I really liked the 50's style sign. I'll probably post more pics later today after the next adventure!
