We need a candidate who can do both. We need angry, aggressive, amusing comms AND to be right on the issues. Any Dem who can copy his approach (not necessarily the exact style or content) will be successful. Newsom of course does NOT do both either. He just does the comms.

Walz? I mean, I'm admittedly biased, but he was an effective communicator during COVID, except for WFH he's done right on liberal priorities, and he can provoke healthy mirth. I'm not wedded to him, but I don't see many like him on the horizon. Yet. If they're out there, bring it on.

Walz was great. Especially him calling right wingers weird. That is the sort of thing we need ALL Dems doing. Aggressive and matter of fact calling the BS out. We just need good Dems like him and others to COPY and/or keep doing anything like that which works.

Best part was the simplicity. The less explanation required the catchier it is, and the more basic its premise, the less caustic it is. And that's what separates a simple common sense observation mean spirited bullying. “They’re weird” wouldn't resonate if people didn't agree.

Simple, aggressive, catchy, and repetitive is exactly what is needed!

I hesitate on “aggressive.” Is it aggressive to make observations? Men obsessing over women’s fertility. Is it aggressive to say that's weird? Musing on electrocuting yourself or getting in the water with sharks. Is it aggressive to say that's weird? It wouldn't resonate if people didn't agree.

I guess 'aggressive' in that it is not what people would expect. It is not the normal accepted way of doing it. Or something the consultant types would say "tone it down" to. That sort of aggressive.

Aggressive in that it doesn't start with, "While I agree with the GOP on this point..."

Then, for some unexplained reason, they stopped. It was working and resonating. Must have scared the big money and the DNC dip shits.

They ($$$$ people) didn't like "weird," thought it was juvenile, basically made him quit. Isn't that just like Democrats, always cutting off their nose to spite their face. It's no wonder we lose so G-D always.

Which is why Dems need to fire the consultants and copy the stuff that works.

We need heavy things, medicine, food, and clean water. And maybe some heavy things affixed to rotating platforms on trucks. And we need discipline and organization and direct experience physically serving the people. And more heavy things. Lots more.
