My parents regards my lack of racism as evidence that I don't live in "the real world". They have never lived more than 20 minutes away from the small WI town they were born in. We no longer get family reunion invites back home. The last couple of years were pretty lonely for my two elderly parents whose families wanted nothing to do with them for being anti-Trump in the rural Midwest. It was - and is - very sad.
