From what I understand (not following closely) was that one guy went into another guy's house, who he knew. The householder stabbed him (which was probably sort of reasonable, given the crossbow) and then beat the living shit out of him. Sorry, but I'll wait for the trial to see if that was bad.

Exactly… there are laws in place that will determine whether what the homeowner did was reasonable force… what PP is trying to gaslight is that there are no existing laws for self defence … a gaslight that appeals to a bias low information voter that only requires a slogan or meme …
