1st - Stop Trump from consolidating power and permanently dismantling our democracy - so there is a real election in 2028 2nd - Run the most viable candidate in that election and WIN.

Can we save the critique/shredding of Newsom until later? Right now, he's the only one who is loudly and somewhat effectively fighting back. I have my own criticisms of the guy but they are back burner until we get through the immediate crisis.

Aye, it's not that deep. Just pitch for a winner next time around. Couldn't be hard to find someone that isn't going to throw thousands of people under the bus because they're either homeless or trans. So easy

I disagree, we have 3 years until the Democratic primary (for president) and that's more than enough time to find a more worthy candidate. Refusing to criticize Newsom is essentially ceding the future primary race to him.
