Just so you know, I’ve been checking this repeatedly and there hasn’t been an update yet.

Is someone too scared to type the number?
free fall 🥳
They didn't like the numbers🤔🤷 You know like Trump...
The electronic budget system shows a 6.04 trillion ruble deficit as of 26 August 2025
The electronic budget system shows a 6.08 trillion ruble deficit as of 27 August 2025
That’s good, right?
I am sure, russian pensioners are delighted.
No doubt, victims just like we will be should this madness continue.
The electronic budget system shows a 6.17 trillion ruble deficit as of 28 August 2025
This may be a small thing... but the format of the date on the electronic buget page keeps swiching between European format (dd/mm/yyyy) and American format (mm/dd/yyyy). Someone types in the entire update, including the date, entirely by hand? The "Electronic System" is a couple of guys typing?
That is very odd. If you put it in manually to make such a mistake, probably 2 people or more people doing it. One American.... Scott Ritter or Stefan Seagal?
I have seen multiple updates (corrections?) on the same day so I think you're correct
Seems to be creeping up again.
I think that's an artifact of the automated translation software used by Prune. The few times a screenshot of the original, untranslated page was posted, the time format was consistently European. See also the use of a comma as decimal separator, instead of a period.
They're probably doing it cro-magnon way. Export excel to html table, but they keep forgetting to set the date format right, depending on what target language for the output.
It's just a bit of a blast from the past to see something reported to be a professional site which is really just a bunch of guys filling out fields without regard to format. If they can't keep the date straight, what are the odds of the rest of it being accurate?
well if the format switches, it is prrof it is not database, programmatically-driven. So yeah, lots human intervention == error prone. all the way up the chain. rascist flimsy.
The original site is in russian and Prune is probably using some automatic tool like google translate to translate the site, which can change date formats a bit randomly from case to case.
@prune602.bsky.social ☝️?
Yes, I use auto translate software. So that’s probably the difference. That’s why I make sure I write out the dates in the post.
Odd that it would switch the date format...🤷♂️
I mean, inconsistently switch the date format.
Any major tax revenue coming in at the end of this month, or are we expecting more towards the end of Q3?
I don’t think it’s anything unusual for the end of this month. There was probably already a boost from dividend payments. 🤔 considering the tax deferments they’ve been giving tax payments might even be a little light. We’ll just have to wait and see.
It’s ok, they’re swimming in tax revenue. I’m sure everything will be fine.
Ist noch nicht genug! Hoffentlich nicht "to big to fail"! Lasst das Verbrecherland ganz sanft untergehen, so dass es jede Sekunde spüren und geniessen kann! Ogi, alt BR, würde sagen: Freude herrscht! Ich auch, schliesse mich dem an. 🥊💩💩💣✌️🇨🇭
We can expect revenue to go backwards in the next few days
It looks like this might be the last update for the month, so the revenue might actually go up in this vast due to tax revenues. It does look like this jump may be a result of dividend payments.
But don't forget they have a habit of overannouncing revenue and adjusting back aftet
Guess we're not making the 7 trillion rubles threshold this month, booo!!!
Well, there goes my wild speculation...
More important if they go above 10 at the end of the year
I am kinda disappointed. Does this add up with the recent OFZ placements?
Not sure how recent OFZ placements matter? Sberbank and VTB dividends are due in August. Sberbank paid 393bn rub on 22nd, maybe some of that got transferred. www.akm.ru/eng/news/sbe...
Note; sberbank paid more overall, 393bn rub is what went to the russian government. VTB I'm not sure, a rough guesstimate of ~220bn. There are other (partly?) state owned companies too, e.g. Rosneft another 100bn, maybe more.
I see, thank you.
Do all these banks pay into the MinFin general account or do they pay into the NWF which would be the shareholder's account? These state owned banks' shares are held by the NWF I believe. Might be a bit of a weird question but could we expect the NWF to increase after these dividends were paid?
So it could be the case that the August budget deficit may look larger whilst the wealth fund simultaneously increases because the ruble dividends were deposited into the wealth fund rather than the general spending account directly.
It's likely we'll see federal budget proficit and slight depletion of NWF. In August
I don't KNOW but I THINK they pass through the NWF straight to the budget. Because their monthly NWF report has a bit that talks about how their holdings make revenue (might include dividends?) and "the federal budget received revenues" from them. bsky.app/profile/prun...
They had income, it looks like.
Yes, 3 major bumps this month. (excluding big bump at end of july) Something not seen in previous months. It appears they are raking in from other sources that are *not* usual...
Yes. And we can easily surmise the arm-twisting going on. Because the underlying operations probably do not support maintaining or increasing said dividend levels (which also have an inflationary component to them)
They have to be fiddling numbers. Explain please.
Either it was one of the lowest daily expenses or they are cooking data
Here's hoping for seven trillion! 😙
Well if it's rising @ 0.1T a day your hope may be fulfilled.
It's here
Things are bad. They are waiting for tax revenues to be accounted for so that the situation does not look tragic.
So that means its really bad when they dont release information :D
Because Putin ordered not to have a deficit anymore so they stopped having it. Easy.
