Just like the abnormally strong ruble is hurting oil revenues (on top of everything else) it is also hurting OTHER exports. While this is keeping import prices lower, it is making a bad situation even worse for many businesses.

People are finally beginning to admit that to total economy is in a recession. This is something that is measured in the rear view mirror as it requires 2 consecutive quarters of results before it can be declared.
People have been discussing that the civilian economy had been in decline for some time and only military spending continued to prop up the total. Now even that is is decline.
I’m currently try to split my focus between writing this thread and worsening economic data that is coming in. The government is again lowering is GDP numbers. The reported a reduction to 1.5% earlier, the IMF reported a forecast of 0.9% a few weeks ago.
There are now reports of the government lowering it to 1.2%
Several factories switched to 4 day work weeks. There are reports of people being laid off and of people not getting paid. And yet, the labor shortage persists.
KAMAZ thought it would need to go to a 3 day work week
But they were slightly saved by stabbing China in the back!
This is from the middle of big thread explaining what they did. They claimed it was for safety reasons…
There have been several things that have been bogging down Trucking even more. This is in addition to the chaos caused by Operation Spiderweb. Trucking is Russian Railways main competitor.
Before Operation Spiderweb, we were hearing reports that some people were able to ship via Truck cheaper than Russian Railways. In addition they provided better service overall. It’s unclear where things stand overall currently.
Looking at the numbers, I can't help getting the feeling of a load/displacement graph for buckling behaviour. Dunno when, but if you keep adding load then suddenly it's there
In 2022/2023 a Russian think tank predicted this situation: "by the end of 2025 Russia will have a shortage of soldiers to continue the "special operation" and the economy will tank." Many say time is on Russia's side, but it is not if only the west keeps on supporting Ukraine.
Just imagine Trump fully supporting Ukraine and forcing 🇷🇺 to abandon its annexation plans. That would earn him the Nobel peace price... but he is too entangled with the Russian mob...
