Jeri, I was in Washington Square Park (Greenwich Village) when the Election was called for Joe Biden. In response, random New Yorkers began high-fiving, hugging & kissing each other. I felt it was terrific. Returning from WW2, my Dad's bomb squad recalled kissing strangers & being hugged, too.

OK. Greta Zimmer is certainly entitled to her sadness. Would have helped had the two in the picture received royalties + a share of the photographer's fame. 💋 As kids, we delighted in stories about Dad's return from WW2 + the thrill of kisses & hugs from random New Yorkers. He felt like a king.
