I stopped buying red meat years ago mostly because of the price. I can get a 10 lb bag of chicken leg quarters for less than $8, so thats where a lot of my protein comes from. In July our Grocery Outlet had rib eyes for $5.99 for 10 oz. Thinking now maybe I should of gotten some of them.
Yeah, I can’t “do” chicken 😢 Actually, had I not married who I married 30-odd years ago, I’d probably still be a vegetarian or maybe vegan 🤷♀️ You DEF should have picked that up if you like it — our Labor Day steaks for 2 are $37 😳
I love chicken. I "could" eat fried chicken every day. I usually air fry mine. I also do turkey patties and fish. Well if I ever see it on sale like that again I might grab a few. Not sure I'll ever see it again however.
There is a bin at our local safeway in the meat department where they place items that need to be sold quickly or they have to throw it out. A year ago, you would rarely see beef in there, and now that's all there is. 50% off lots of different cuts and they are still too expensive for me.
