Darren Jones moving to No. 10 to a new role as "Chief Secretary to the PM" - an attempt to bolster No. 10. James Murray to Chief Secretary of HMT. Dan Tomlinson takes Murray's place. Tim Allan coming back to run No. 10 Comms. Delivery and policy units being overhauled.

ORCL and Companies House records state Tim Allan is a current Director of the lobbying company 'Strand Partners'. orcl.my.site.com/CLR_Public_P.... How will this conflict of interests be managed?

Delivery didn't save the Democrats - a combination of metrics that looked good on graphs but didn't impact on daily lives, and a refusal to take a stand on issues of principles and values. Frustrating to see Labour continue to tinker with mechanics rather than fixing the design...

As reported over the weekend Baroness Minouche Shafik coming in as an economic adviser. Looks like they're also trying to hire a new head of the policy unit but haven't found anyone yet.

Unlikely. The leadership is obsessed with winning over a voter that isn’t listening. More likely it damages the likes of Bell and Jones by association.

He's had more reshuffles than a coked up croupier, it's not going to work if you have a chancellor that hamstrings governmental spending with a ludicrous insistence on protecting the mega rich and imposing self defined fiscal rules which mean absolutely nothing in real economic terms.

Jones is terrible. A supposed socialist who’s belittled disabled people when defending dangerous welfare cuts. They’re just rearranging deck chairs while their party sinks to lower and lower depths of both morality and quality.

Darren Jones is extremely capable and I suspect will make a difference in getting stuff moving. Baroness Shafik clearly very highly qualified to be Chief Economic Advisor. They sound like positive moves to me.

Tim Allan is a charmer. I wonder if Starmer ever bothers to calculate how many of have trans kids, siblings, extended family members. Over 20 votes in our extended families they’re never going to get back.

It sounds like they’re shifting people from within their circle to different parts of the circle. They need an outsider to come in and tell them what to do as they’re clearly haven’t a clue.
