Harris barely got more votes than Trump got in 2020. Trump got fewer votes than Biden got in 2020. The problem is a lack of faith in the Democratic party and that's because their economic policies are indistinguishable from the GOP.

There is no reason why you both can’t be right. There isn’t a “the problem” - there’s multiple. The sexism and misogyny are always there. But If you talk to alleged independents who voted for Trump, they’ll say their experience of the Biden economy didn’t match what they heard in news
Truth is, as a tech worker, the downturns in big tech after CoVID decimated my industry. I agreed with many of Biden’s policies like incentives for reshoring with infrastructure investment - but in my day to day life, I was struggling in a toxic work environment with no foreseeable escape.
If I was struggling in tech, I shudder to think how people who work retail or service jobs, with the cost of living ballooning. I also know a young doctor (female) whose male colleagues were mocking VP Harris’s competence due to her gender. In front of my friend. :| So I don’t think it’s simple.
Inflation was far lower under Biden in this country than most any other modern industrialized nation in the world. In fact, our economy was the ENVY of the world, and was recovering far faster than predicted after Trump's disaster. There is literally NO EXCUSE to blame Biden, or vote for Trump.
That may be, but that wasn't Biden's fault. (I'm in tech too) To think Trump of all people would IMPROVE that situation is beyond delusional. Trump is the EMBODIMENT of "toxic"! And he's an INCOMPETENT "businessman".

Alleged independents who voted for Trump voted for White Supremacy and against a competent woman and for a rapist, so even there -- regardless of what they SAY -- it was racism, sexism, and misogyny. Trump's first term was a DISASTER. Biden's term was a pretty damn amazing recovery from that.
