I still don't think we have fully processed how a billionaire & his lackeys, who are unelected, unconfirmed, not-even-real-federal employees are just dismantling the entire government & stealing all of its/our data, while Congress does nothing. A total, unprecedented Article I constitutional crisis.

While Congress sleeps, tech empires move at narrative speed—privatizing governance, weaponizing platforms, and seizing power through apps, not laws. This isn’t just a legal crisis. It’s systemic seizure. Autocracy spins the story, MSM echoes it. Trump’s a node in the transnational oligarchy.

I am processing it every day. I keep waiting for someone. In the Senate the surprise has been Rand Paul? Whoda thunk I'd ever have a decent thing to say about that guy?

I too am in total awe that congress has stood by quietly and watched questionable individuals mine personal and sensitive data. Where will this information be used when they are offered money to sell it. They have no accountability!

NYT doesn't seem to be terribly alarmed.

And the only path to righting our ship of state sustainably is to hold every damn one of them to account -- Trump, his lackys, and most importantly the majority of Congress members that enabled them. Short memory will make short work of our democracy.

There’s probably someone right now writing a fiction tome about this moment, describing how order was partially restored after the majority of the pop. decided no taxes would be paid until constitutional order was resumed and law breakers imprisoned. Maybe they’ll call it The Social Contract.

It's not hard to understand when the majority of Congress supports it. That's how Congress works. Unfortunately.

Republicans are supporting this. Which means they don’t have to cut government, they slither back to their districts and lie their asses off
