There is no "national security" rationale - not least one that arbitrarily toggles on & off - for the tariffs. Section 301 tariffs are supposed to follow a legal process based on identified violations of existing trade agreements. All of this violates our WTO treaty obligations. It's all nonsense.
The blatant illegality of the tariffs, again, is the story. It needs to lead and precede any & all coverage of the day-to-day "news" about the nonsense. It is the signal amidst the noise.
Again, the inability/unwillingness of everyone to simply keep saying that all of this is illegal & to act as if the rules don't apply to this One Special Boy is maddening. Other, more serious choices, are readily available.
